The view from the balcony over the castle and Moselle is stunning, and the room was quiet. We had a third-floor suite with even a solarium in the bathroom. Free parking was a nice extra. The location is perfect, and the staff were friendly and spoke good English, though reception was often unattended because they were also working as waiters. Breakfast didn’t impress me, especially since a cappuccino cost €2.50. I’d rate it a solid three hotel stars.

We only stopped for lunch, so I can’t comment on the rooms. The outdoor view was stunning, but the overall visit felt pretty average. On a long weekend just two people were looking after the restaurant, and the service was chaotic. The food was okay, nothing bad, but nothing special either.

The food was OK, but this time I’m giving only 2 stars. They shouldn’t let customers bring a boom box to the table and play music so loudly that we can’t hear each other talk!

The view was beautiful, the room very clean, and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was included and delicious, especially the fresh fruit cups and pastries. I loved the balcony, and upgrading to a balcony room was worth the money. There was a little fan in the closet, but no AC.

I booked the suite and liked how clean it was, and the view was lovely too. I gave service four stars because there’s no phone in the suite to reach reception.
