Hotel Mauritius Im Sachsenland

The room was lovely, neat, and quiet, and breakfast was delicious. The service was warm and attentive, and the information I got before arriving was excellent. They also handled my late check-in really well, so I felt at ease throughout. Booking on the hotel’s website is definitely worth it.

Breakfast was simple but good, and the owner made the second morning especially pleasant. She was there in person, friendly and attentive, and had set a lovely table for us. The hotel has a lot of character, with a stylish old building and clean, well-furnished rooms. The beds were comfortable, and the Wi-Fi and TV were modern. There’s no minibar, but the well-stocked refrigerated counter in the hallway worked just fine. Digital check-in by key box was seamless. One thing to keep in mind: the old building carries sound, so the rooms can be noisy.

The room got extremely hot in summer, and there was no fan or other way to cool it down. When I raised the problem, the owner seemed indifferent and told me to use Booking.com filters next time instead of trying to understand my concern. That felt like poor hospitality. I left disappointed and can’t recommend the hotel.

Breakfast was just what we wanted, with a compact but complete selection, and the staff were incredibly friendly. The hotel itself was very clean and nicely styled, with a charming mix of old and new. We’ll definitely come back.
