Pfalzblick Wald Spa Resort

It’s a good hotel, and the employees are quite friendly. Having a whirlpool on the balcony is great. The food wasn’t bad, but it didn’t match the level the hotel seems to aim for or the price. We’ve stayed at much cheaper hotels where the dinner menu was fancier and the food was much better overall. Still, I’d recommend this hotel. It’s absolutely not a bad place.

The atmosphere and customer care are what really exceeded expectations. The resort sits beside the forest, with different pools, a small sea, and a choice of saunas for swimming or relaxing. Activities are offered every day, and beauty and health treatments are available as well. It’s a quiet, peaceful place to unwind. The location and rooms are very nice too. Since the price is quite high, it’s important to check which offers are included, as that can put the cost in perspective.

The hotel sits in the heart of the forest, with an awesome view over the valley. Service was very good, and the food felt healthy and thoughtfully prepared, not too heavy. There’s a big breakfast selection too. For me, it’s a little expensive for Germany. The room was super clean, but a bit old-fashioned, maybe from the early 90s, and the mattress and room weren’t especially comfortable.

We only spent a few nights at this lovely spa hotel and wished we could have stayed longer. The newer section is especially modern and beautiful, and we enjoyed unwinding in the quiet spots around the saunas as well as the amazing vegan food. The family members and staff gave us probably the best customer service I’ve ever had in Germany. We also managed a short hike, with trails just footsteps from the main entrance.
