The loft gets loads of light and is great, though the kitchen is small. Street lighting comes through at night, so blackout curtains would help.

That little fountain in the front garden adds a gentle sound, and the fragrant bathroom soap and excellent mattresses are lovely details. The loft is beautifully and stylishly furnished, with care in every part of it. I really appreciated the landlord’s evident enjoyment of decorating, and being able to experience it. It’s in the heart of Darmstadt but very quiet, so if you like beautiful things and want a vacation apartment, this one is well worth trying to rent. Five stars don’t do it justice.
