Hanging up while I was still on the phone was not okay, especially when I was trying to work out where to take my wife for our anniversary.

A family-run guesthouse with welcoming people, pleasant accommodation, and good food.

We’ve been staying here for one or two nights at a time for more than 10 years, and it’s still lovely. It’s rustic, spotless, serves delicious food, and has that homey feeling. Rudi is the reason we keep finding our way back whenever we can. Uwe and I would give it at least 10 stars!

The place feels like time has stood still, which is exactly part of its charm. The beds haven’t stood still, though, the mattresses are very good. It’s clean, the food is good, the service is really friendly, and the price feels fair. In good weather, the garden looks like it would be very cozy, with plenty of space between the tables.

The owner really works to make guests feel at home, and he’s a fun person to be around. The food is fantastic, too. His garden has some unusual plants to look at, and roses are clearly his passion. A great place to stay.
