The hotel and bar staff spoke very good English, which we really appreciated since we were only in Germany for a quick overnight trip from Amsterdam and could manage just “hello, please and thanks” in German. We were there to see the Deutsches Automatenmuseum, which I’d also highly recommend. The trip was so short that we hadn’t expected the staff to speak English so well.

Room 23 looks out over the square, with its fountain and shops. Breakfast had plenty of choice and tasted good, the service was good, and the rooms were kept tidy. A lovely location.

The rooms are basic, but clean, and the location is great. The owner was really kind, the food was good and so was breakfast. I liked it a lot.
