Beim Krahwirt

The hotel feels like faded glory and hasn’t been maintained recently. I knew that was a risk at a budget price, but the staff weren’t particularly friendly either. At evening check-in, the woman made us wait just to hand over the key, as if even that bit of multitasking was too much. In the morning, the man handling check-out sat outside smoking for ten minutes. I tried calling reception because nobody was there and didn’t know he was in charge. When I came out for the third time, he told me he wasn’t coming just because someone called hello. The older man was kind.

The restaurant felt romantic, and the food was very good and tasty. The hotel is a little older, but clean. We’ll definitely come back.

Staff were friendly and helpful, and there’s parking in front of the hotel, along with a bar and restaurant. It’s in a quiet area not far from the motorway. Breakfast wasn’t really for me.

The bathroom had some huge mould patches and mouldy stains, which put me off, and there was no kitchen during my stay. Those issues aside, I enjoyed Haus Kräh beim Krahwirt and would recommend it, especially if the maintenance problems get addressed. I’d be glad to return. The staff were friendly from the moment I arrived and went out of their way to make the stay enjoyable. The Haus has a charming feel, with traditional and modern décor that made it cozy and inviting. The surrounding area was beautiful for walks and taking in the natural scenery. Breakfast was a highlight too, with a modest but still impressive selection of fresh local ingredients.
