Scotty + Paul Hotel Deggendorf

The rooms were very nice, the underground garage was handy, and breakfast was very good. Even with the arrival problems, I’d stay here again when traveling. We’d booked by phone after a long trip and were assured someone would be at reception if we arrived before 22:00. We got there at 21:45, but the door was locked. After ringing the bell, I spoke to three different people in different remote locations. Eventually I was told that some of them claimed I had canceled the reservation. It took about 40 minutes before we were given a room.

The room was bigger than I expected, with modern fittings, and it was quiet. Check-in and check-out went smoothly, and the service was consistently friendly and helpful. Deggendorf station is within walking distance, Platting is a short drive away, and there are plenty of food options and supermarkets close by.

The staff were lovely, helpful, and very friendly, and welcomed us so well. I let them know I’d arrive late, so they put the room key in a safe box and sent the PIN and all the details on arrival day. They also emailed a pre-check-in link that was easy to use. The location is very good and easy to find, and the hotel was very clean. Our room and beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was big and spotless. There’s a secure car park, which was great for me, and breakfast was great too. Thanks for everything. We’ll definitely see you again next year, and I recommend the place 👍🏼

Parking needs planning: spaces are limited, the available parking is paid, and free parking is scarce. Breakfast is a standard continental selection, with machine and filtered coffee, and there was plenty to go around. The hotel works well for a family. Rooms are clean with high ceilings, and the showers are clean too. The double bed is made up of two singles, so there’s a gap down the middle.
