The rooms were nice and clean, with comfortable beds and plenty of space. Breakfast was okay, though there weren’t enough seats for everyone and we had to wait a bit. I also missed having plain water without lime. At reception, the woman couldn’t speak English, not even to tell us the breakfast time. Fortunately, she called a colleague, who handled check-in by phone and was polite, helpful, and spoke English. It’s a decent place for one night while driving through Europe on holiday.

Dogs are welcome here and even get treats when they arrive, which was the best part for us. There’s a lovely atmosphere, with a club room and two balconies for smoking where you can spend time with others. The rooms are spacious and cosy, breakfast is very good, and coffee from the machine is free at any time.

It had what I needed, and the rest of the stay was good. From an American point of view, the lack of AC was a drawback. A vending machine open around the clock would have been useful too.

The floor was really dirty and breakfast had very little choice. The receptionist couldn’t say a word in English, and the old terminal wouldn’t take my Revolut card.

Dessau was easy to explore from here, with good shopping and plenty of nice restaurants within walking distance. I especially liked how quiet and safe the surroundings felt.
