The living room looks out over sensational greenery, and the nearby hiking trails are great. We were welcomed so warmly by Mr. Heitmann, and the chalet itself was modern, quiet, relaxing, and beautifully maintained. Everything was just right, and our dog Luna settled in completely. We’d happily come back to the Flößwehrtal valley.

We got lucky on our last night and saw the Northern Lights. It was such a treat! This was our second stay here with our dogs, and they always feel at ease, especially with the big fenced run available. We came in January this time, with snow and bitterly cold nights, but the chalet stayed warm with plenty of radiators. We even added an extra day and went to Wernigerode. If you enjoy nature, walks, nostalgic towns, steam trains, or just some quiet, this is a lovely place to stay. We’ll be back.

We’ve only just arrived, but the welcome and the atmosphere have already made a great impression. We know the Harz region pretty well and can recommend this place. Our stay is only a few days, so we’ll come back at another time of year.

It’s about 750 meters from the chalet to the adventure pool, spa park, and charming town center. We had a lovely short family break here. The place was spotless and had everything we needed, including linens and Wi-Fi, and we got friendly advice about things to do. It’s very peaceful at the forest’s edge, with a fantastic view. We’ll definitely return.

The people were really nice, and despite a few issues we still had a lovely time. The house is attractive, clean, and nicely furnished. It isn’t accessible for people with disabilities, though. Stairs separate the garden from the house, and the garden sits a little apart, so you can’t let your dog straight out from the house. We also had to share the garden with the landlords’ other dogs.
