The hotel and restaurant staff were very helpful and friendly, and the restaurant serves very tasty traditional German food. Breakfast was good too. Still, the place really needs renovation, or at least a thorough deep cleaning. I saw bugs in the corridors, which made me think they were probably under all those carpets.

We got an upgrade to the family room, which was the size of an apartment. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the service was very friendly, but ours was too hot in summer. We'll be back!

The location is ideal, with a bus stop right by the hotel and the train station a short 10-15 minute walk away. Rooms are spacious and have a nostalgic vintage feel. There's even an interesting escalator built in 1954 that's still working perfectly. The downsides are poor Wi-Fi and limited breakfast choices.

Breakfast was wonderful, especially the eggs and ham/prosciutto. The hotel was cozy and lovely, and the prices were great. The exterior and rooms are modern and beautifully decorated, while the hallways and staircase feel a bit dated, though that wasn't a problem. The door felt a little unsafe, and the polyester pillowcases didn't seem clean. It was also a bit loud at night with so many fast cars and motorcycles passing by. We liked our stay and would come again.

For the same area, there’s a cheaper modern hostel about 100 meters away, right in front of this place. This one may be cheap, but I really wouldn’t recommend it. The beds were dirty, there was only one small shared toilet, and security was very poor.
