Quality Hotel Hof

I spent three days here. Getting around by road was easy, and there was a parking space right outside the entrance. Check-in was simple. The restaurant downstairs served decent food, not the best, but handy to have, and breakfast was okay. My room was very basic, with a strange key system, though it did the job. Staff were accommodating without being especially warm or enthusiastic. I asked for an extra blanket and a battery, and they brought them. For its location and price, it’s a good hotel.

The restaurant food was superb, and we did get another room after speaking up. Our first room was okay, but about an hour in, we heard voices outside the door and smelled food. When we opened it, a young woman was cooking in the hallway, about 30 cm to the right, on a small oven. I asked what the h... she thought she was doing cooking there. We told the woman at reception, but her English wasn’t good enough to understand us, so a young man who worked as a waiter helped. They moved us, of course.

I had a comfortable six-night stay while attending my training program at HOF. It’s a good hotel with basic amenities, and the staff are courteous, though only a few speak English. The complimentary breakfast is cold and typically German, with healthy options but not much variety. The restaurant has a limited German menu, so I wouldn’t recommend it for vegetarians. The hotel is a little far from the city centre and the lively area, and public transport is limited in the city. The nearest bus stop is 300-400 meters away.

Free, fast Wi-Fi and parking were a plus, and the hotel is well situated. The rooms and hotel were clean, and reception staff were friendly, quick, and practical. Breakfast had the essentials for the morning. I liked the place and wouldn’t hesitate to choose it again if I return.
