Hotel Deutsches Haus

The owner was super nice, and the place is lovely. I had a great stay right in the city center.

A lovely little spot in a lovely town.

Breakfast had a big spread of fresh options, and the location made getting around easy, with public transport and plenty of attractions nearby. At Hotel Deutsches Haus, we found a spacious, spotless room with comfortable furnishings and beds that gave us a restful night. Check-in came with a warm welcome, and the staff stayed friendly and accommodating throughout. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely come back.

The balcony and the room's generous size were real pluses, and the €90 price with breakfast included is very reasonable. The owner was friendly and helpful, breakfast was delicious, and the central location worked perfectly for exploring the city. This is a small hotel in the heart of town, close to the old town. We stayed in room 19, so these comments are about that room only. The Wi-Fi was just about enough for browsing at 5 Mbps. There was no shower curtain, so showering meant sitting or lying down, which bothered me most. There was no shower gel, or just two tiny sachets, so you had to use soap. The furnishings could use fresh paint, and missing pieces like a drawer need replacing. It was also noisy enough that loud neighbors could disturb your sleep. The room's old-fashioned style may be a plus if that's what you like. You could sit on the balcony in warm weather and enjoy the evening. It's a nice, affordable, well-located small hotel with some drawbacks. In my opinion, 3/5 stars is fair.
