Gutshaus Zietlitz

The people running the place were lovely, and the house and its surroundings were beautiful. I’d like to come back someday.

The barbecue was a highlight: everything was freshly made and delicious, and we had such a nice time chatting with the owners over a beer. Dinner the night before was just as satisfying. We were five cyclists staying at the manor for two nights, and the owners welcomed us warmly, showed us around, and explained how everything worked. The house is a little older, but that’s part of its charm. Our rooms were clean and had everything we needed. It’s a lovely family-run place to relax or explore the area. If we’re back in the region, we know where we’ll stay. Many thanks to the Schiller family!

The children were delighted by the horses, and they also had games and books to enjoy in the library. Our room was much more spacious than expected, and the house is beautiful, with such thoughtful furnishings. Breakfast was delicious, and the hospitality was wonderful. It even felt as though Mrs. Libor had arranged the first sunny weather of the year :). We’ll come back, and next time we’ll stay longer than a weekend.

We had a great time with the food, and it was nice to have books and board games in the house, though really you come here to enjoy the outdoors. The old inn is lovely, with a well-kept garden and parking right outside. There’s plenty to explore by car, and I’d suggest visiting the zoo. I was upstairs, where both rooms had a shower and toilet, though I can’t say what the other rooms had. The Wi-Fi up there was weak but just usable, so a repeater would help. The rooms had fly screens, which seemed essential. In summer, bring something for mosquitoes, especially by the lake. I was here with my extended family, 12 of us. It was nice, you can take it.
