Urban Home Self Check-In Hotel

The room was clean, spacious, and everything worked well. I was a little skeptical after reading the reviews, but my stay was great and I had no problems. Check-in was quick and simple through a machine, so have your code ready before you arrive. Mine came by email, and there’s a number to call on site if you need help. There are lots of nearby restaurants with good options, and the city center is about a 15-20 minute drive away. From what I saw, public transport is plentiful too.

The area around the property didn’t feel very welcoming. Nearby parking is paid, while street parking is free but at your own risk.

We chose the place because it was near the cruise terminal and close enough to the city centre. The room was quite small and modern, but it had loads of annoying earwigs. It also wasn’t as clean as it could have been. Service was pretty terrible: the receptionist was missing most of the time, once turning up at 10:30, so don’t count on help if something urgent comes up. They tell you to phone, but we tried three times before anyone answered. Service could be much better.

The only highlight was the nice housekeeping lady. Otherwise, it felt like a fancy hostel, with bugs in the Las Vegas room!!! The area wasn’t good at all and there was nothing around. I’d never stay here again, and would only recommend it if you had no other options. The man who helped us at the front desk came across as sexist toward women, so if you’re a woman, you’ve been warned. I’m adding a picture, but I also have a video showing the bugs moving. Yuck.
