During lockdown, they adapted breakfast perfectly and brought it to my room. The place was very clean, and I slept quietly and well. I felt like a special guest. If you're in Emsland, sleep at Borchers'!

For the price I paid, I'm happy with what I got. It could be better, though.

Really great.

The room was clean and tidy, with fresh linens, and I liked that there was no carpet. The furnishings, though, seemed like they hadn't been updated since the 80s. I saw online that other rooms were available, presumably for a bit more, which I completely understand. Still, even a room meant for "tradespeople" could be made nicer. I stayed for two nights, and the friendly, accommodating staff made a good impression. Breakfast had plenty to choose from, and the coffee was good, which matters most to me. There are certainly nice rooms here, too.
