The little shop is only a five-minute walk away, and it’s a mini Edeka with a really good selection. The owners were friendly and helpful, and the Ferienwohnung in Westen was lovely and quiet.

We spent six nights there over New Year’s 2019/2020 and had a wonderful time. The host family was so kind and accommodating. The apartment is beautiful, thoughtfully furnished, and had everything we could need. There are great walks nearby, and local farmers make it easy to have fresh things on the table, like eggs, potatoes, and soups. A dream. We’ll definitely return!

Hanover and Bremen are easy to reach by car or public transport, though the countryside setting is ideal if you’re looking to unwind. The hosts made us feel very welcome, and the cozy apartment was spotless, tidy, and furnished with lovely attention to detail.

The homemade apple juice was delicious, and the honey was excellent too. We’d happily come back to this lovely holiday apartment, with its great property and very friendly hosts.

Our children felt at home straight away, and the apartment was clean and very well kept. It’s a handy base for outings with the kids, whether to Walsrode Bird Park, Heide Park Soltau, Hanover, or Bremen. A really nice place to stay, and easy to recommend.
