We had a suite with loads of space, and the hotel staff were really friendly. The quiet nature around us was lovely for our three nights. We went for a hike and took a boat trip too. Breakfast could still be good for people who sleep in, and it would help to put a mosquito net on a window to keep out mosquitoes and other unwanted guests.

The panorama cafe has a warm, welcoming feel, and it’s an easy place to linger over tasty cakes and hot drinks. The staff were courteous and happily took care of our extra requests. The views from above the hotel across the Elbe meadows are stunning in any season. We’ll be back!

My fellow diners were quite happy with their meals, but my pesto pasta arrived pretty cold and needed quite a bit of salt. We had dinner at the restaurant last night. It was very nice otherwise.

The rooms felt a bit like men’s caves to me, just my personal impression. We found the hotel relatively costly for what it offers, and the floors and bathroom could have been cleaner. Everything was written only in German, and on our first day nobody told us we needed a token to open the parking gate when leaving, or we’d have to pay. Still, it’s in a nice spot close to the Elbe, in what seems to be a historic factory or silo rebuilt as a boat-style hotel.

The view is beautiful, and it’s a nice spot for a special occasion or just some good food and drinks. Check ahead, since sometimes it’s open only to hotel guests.
