For the price, the stay was good value. It's well maintained in a quiet neighbourhood and costs less than other stay options. The place is run by an older couple who come by only in the evenings. It's close to the Technische Akademie tram station, though a long way from Stuttgart hbf. There aren't any supermarkets nearby, and the bathroom is shared.

There was a strong, distinctive smell in the guesthouse that wouldn't go away even after airing it out thoroughly for a long time. The furniture was worn and felt more like a 20-year-old converted children's room. The place seemed completely unloved, and the planes were noisy. I couldn't take it for more than one night and had to cut my trip short. The owner said I'd get a refund for the unused night, but they still charged the full amount. When I politely asked about it, I got silly remarks about this not being a 5-star hotel, that there were no refunds, and that they didn't remember agreeing to one. I've traveled a lot and stayed in a few guesthouses, but never had an experience like this. A clear warning.

The TV didn't work, there was no Wi-Fi in the rooms, the radiators were cold, and there was no hot water. What little came through only trickled. There was no breakfast, so I checked out that same evening. They had already taken payment for four days when I booked and gave absolutely nothing back. I was even verbally abused on my way out. The price for what was offered was a disgrace, and I can only warn people against booking this so-called guesthouse. This happened back in 2018, but the outrageous prices I saw today made me write this. This is fraud!

We were two and really appreciated the hosts' helpful, friendly attitude and their restaurant recommendations. The location is great, with direct access to bus and train connections. We'd gladly stay here again.
