Hotel Am Stadtrand

I was there on a business trip, but the cost felt far too high. 200 Euro for such a tiny room is too much, and I wasn't happy with their policy either. Breakfast was the same every day.

By 8:00 at breakfast there was almost nothing left, just a little salami and cheese. The shampoo and toilet paper in the room were nearly gone too. Very bad, very bad.

The room was clean, but we expected more for what we paid. Ours was beside the reception, and whenever its door opened, guests could see straight to our bed. The bathroom was extremely cramped. With the shower curtain closed, it went completely dark while you showered. Mornings were noisy too, because people rummaging in the storage room next door woke us up. The entrance door scraped loudly across the floor whenever it opened, as if stones were underneath. We also heard a lot from the flight path. With the room beside the street and no screen, leaving the window open felt impossible, especially since someone could easily climb in. At night nobody was at reception. Invoices and addresses with customer information were left out on the desk where anyone could see them, and we had to pass right by to reach our room and the entrance. Breakfast was minimal. For the same price or less, we've stayed in much better hotels and rooms that included breakfast.

I can't recommend this hotel. Yesterday I waited outside with the hotel locked for more than an hour. The listed hotline went unanswered; I called several times and left messages, then after a few calls the hotline was switched off. Nobody called back. I had to go find another hotel. Service gets a grade 6.
