Sombea Donaueschingen

I’m on a business trip and this is my third stay here, mainly because it’s close to Donaueschingen. The rooms are comfortable and modern. Breakfast is a basic continental spread, while dinner is much more luxurious and delicious. The restaurant was busy throughout the week, so it must be doing something right, though waiter service can be slow. In the evenings, non-guests often come in to eat, and there frequently isn’t enough parking.

The evening buffet and wine were excellent, and the covered terrace made for a lovely atmosphere on a warm summer night. Laura and Daniel in the service team looked after everyone exceptionally well. Our group of 40 enjoyed the event, and several people said they’d visit again because the hotel is so close to the airfield. We held our company Fly-In at Hotel Sombea at the end of June 2025, and Karina Albrandt’s professional event team made organizing all the different parts straightforward. The Berlin business suite worked perfectly for our afternoon presentations. Direct access to the Terrace gave us a lovely airfield view during the coffee break, the aircon was very welcome on such a hot day, and Pete of Facilities provided excellent equipment and support. Anita at reception was extremely helpful and proactive, and I felt in great hands with her. There was some confusion with room bookings before the event and on the day, though Anita wasn’t responsible. Once that was sorted out, everything else went smoothly. Thanks to the whole team on behalf of Shark and Wingman Aviation. We’ll definitely come back!

The fresh breakfast was delicious, and the employees were great at looking after guests. My room was comfortable and had what I needed. Hotel Concorde has a clean, comfortable feel and a tasteful approach to hospitality. I LOVED staying here and am excited to return.

I enjoyed relaxing on the terrace and watching the small aircraft come and go. There was no aircraft noise at night, the rooms were very comfortable, and breakfast was great. A very good hotel for business or for a trip through the area, with really friendly staff.
