I was disappointed by how things were handled. I’d paid for breakfast and needed to leave at 6:30, but the room information said it started at 7. Then we noticed other guests having breakfast in the restaurant. On arrival, nobody greeted me, so I had to call from inside the empty building. I was told the key was in the door to my room. I’d booked online with the restaurant included, only to be told later that it wouldn’t be open.

Our room was huge and had a balcony, and the people working there were really friendly. It’s a cute little village hotel, good for a short stay. Breakfast was great, too. The A3 is close, and you can walk to the Walhalla monument.

The bathroom had clearly been redone recently and was excellent. Our room was spacious, with access to the garden, though it could maybe use an update. It’s in a quiet area, and breakfast was fine.

The food was delicious, and the staff were really friendly. The hotel has a nice restaurant of its own, with other restaurants about a 10-minute walk away. It’s a great place to stay when visiting Walhalla, with clean rooms and excellent facilities.

We liked the quiet, remote setting, and the location worked well for us. Our room had plenty of space for what we needed. Breakfast was great, with lots of options to choose from.
