Hygge

I was given such a warm welcome, and the hostess was lovely and accommodating. The room was clean, the food very good, and everything was as expected. You do need to like dogs, though. I’d definitely book again. Thanks for the kind hospitality :-)

We stayed for two days, and the room was good. It was pleasantly quiet in the evenings, and the hotel has a huge parking lot out back. Service was good and friendly, and I was very satisfied and would recommend staying here. There are shops nearby, a good pizzeria right next door for a quick bite, and the Sparkasse and Volksbank are next door too. A cozy place with a lot to offer.

It’s a real relief for dog owners to find a place where both people and dogs are treated so well. The owners are attentive and tolerant with people and animals, and our two dogs were cared for beautifully. They aren’t welcome everywhere, so I was pleasantly surprised.

The phone reservation seemed pleasant, but the booking confirmation took several days. When we arrived, the owner greeted us by yelling at the four dogs and telling us to go into the garden. We were two people with a young dog. To reach the garden, we had to walk through the breakfast room, where some buffet food was still uncovered at about 2 p.m. The kitchen wasn't locked, and the dogs could get in. The garden had no lawn, and dog mess was everywhere, even right by the door. The stairs up to the room were very steep. Inside, we found a torn, dirty tablecloth on the table and a kettle that wasn't hygienic enough to use. We let it sink in, then left the building. When we returned the key, we were yelled at and pushed out of the house. And I don't need strangers telling me what I should or shouldn't do with my dog!
