Haus Baron 5

No comment, it was a nightmare.

The place looks a bit rough from the outside, but inside the rooms were tidy and, above all, clean. The bed was comfortable, and the modern bathroom had a big shower. For the price, it was absolutely fantastic. The windows did a great job of keeping out street noise, and the hotel staff were very friendly.

The internet was okay, but the TV was basically nonexistent: no private channels, just ARD, ZDF, and a few regional ones. That's unacceptable these days. The furnishings were very sparse, and the refrigerator in the basement kitchen was too small for so many rooms, though it was manageable if you didn't expect too much. I was initially pleased with how clean and tidy it was, but rooms were only cleaned on request, including mine. I booked once, and won't book again.

I was pleasantly surprised by the clean room and how appropriately it was furnished for the price. The only reason I didn't give five stars was the cleaning lady who also works at reception. She doesn't speak any German or English, so communication is impossible.
