Aparthotel am Zwinger

We picked this place for being close to breakfast spots and a supermarket, and it made exploring on foot easy. Sheisshaus restaurant nearby was great. We had first checked into a nearby B&B, but even its four-person room felt too small for the two of us, so we moved here for a similar price. Our apartment had a generous living and bedroom area, a big wardrobe, and two sets of drawers. It's an older building, and some units involve stairs, but we asked for one without them and got it. They washed a bag of laundry for EU12 and returned it quickly, along with an ironing board and iron for the room. The only thing we missed was a microwave.

Paul at the front desk was wonderful. He held my luggage before check-in and got me checked in in case I couldn't make it back before the desk closed. The room was comfortable, clean, and spacious, and I loved having a kitchen where I could make a few meals. The location felt very safe, with an easy walk to the old city, Dresden Mitte, and restaurants. Absolutely perfect, highly recommended!

We had a balcony where we ate and enjoyed a drink or two in the evening, and the kitchen was very well equipped. The rooftop apartment was much more than we needed for two bedrooms: it also had a spacious living area, a second toilet, and two large bedrooms. The main Dresden attractions were an easy walk away, as were the tram and Mitte train station. I'd highly recommend it.

I'm more of a hotel person than an aparthotel person, just personal preference, but I had a positive stay here. The apartment was spacious and clean, and the receptionists were professional and kind. The management felt professional too, and the quality for the price was pretty decent.
