B&B HOTEL Dresden-Messe

The room was spacious and clean, with a pleasant air freshener smell that I hadn’t come across before. The hotel is fairly central and has a car park next to it. Staff were pleasant and helpful, though check-in took longer than usual because a new staff member was being trained. Everything was fine.

I have no complaints about the stay or the services. My issue was the lack of flexibility when I needed to shorten my stay. B&B offered no compromise, which I didn’t expect as a B&B Club member.

We arrived just before 10 PM and were probably the last people to check in before the front desk closed for the night. There’s an automated check-in machine, though, so arriving later likely wouldn’t leave you stranded. The location is convenient: we could walk from the Flixbus drop-off near the main station, and the touristy old town and plenty of restaurants are close by. There’s even a café right across the street. It was harder to find a nearby convenience store or gas station for basic snacks, since many places around there seem to close fairly early. We were very happy with our stay, especially the spotless bathroom and the fresh, almost brand-new-feeling sheets on a fluffy, comfortable mattress we didn’t want to get out of. We’d definitely return.

I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. The pillows were uncomfortable, the curtains were dirty, and the toilet smelled of urine. There were lots of flying bugs, and the air conditioning didn’t work. We’d ordered a room with a crib, but there wasn’t one when we arrived.
