After my second stay in Barneby's vacation rental, booked through Airbnb, I got a very negative review there. It almost feels like the rude, grumpy cleaner, who didn’t want to work on the weekend, is the one writing those reviews. The communication between the landlord and staff seemed poorly coordinated. The cleaner got rude when we were still in the apartment ten minutes before checkout. I also found it unsettling to be asked to sign a separate, multi-page rental agreement. Then came a digital dig, which doesn’t feel like hospitality. No thanks, Barneby, not like this.
