INNSiDE by Meliá Dresden

A young woman at reception made a lovely first impression: she was genuinely welcoming, helpful, and made check-in smooth. Everyone on staff was super friendly. The hotel also has a modern, stylish feel, and our room was spotless, comfortable, and had everything we needed. We were minutes from the main attractions, so exploring Dresden was easy. The service, facilities, and location all made for a fantastic five-star stay. Highly recommended!

The shower had black mold, which was a deal breaker for us. We had planned to stay longer in Dresden, but switched hotels. The room itself was spacious and very quiet, with a great view, a comfortable bed, designer furniture, and curtains that really blocked out the light. We liked the idea of sliding doors between the bathroom and bedroom, but they didn't close properly and were frustrating to use. The location was perfect for exploring, just a short walk from beautiful architecture and stunning churches. Service was good, but the receptionist suggested parking in the garage without saying there was an extra charge. We found out only when we were leaving. We probably would have used it anyway, but the fee should have been explained. Breakfast wasn't worth the price: bad coffee, very limited food, and almost no vegetables.

We loved the room. It had plenty of seating, space to move around, charging outlets, and a nice bathroom. The complimentary minibar had beer, wine, water, and juice, and they restocked it during room service. Breakfast was good enough, and the staff kept the buffet full. They were all very helpful and friendly. The room had a few steps just before the door and between the entry and bedroom, which wasn't a problem for us, and other rooms are more accessible. The steps had subtle red lighting to make them visible in the dark. It's the sort of room that feels thoughtfully laid out, rather than poorly planned. The hotel is right in the Altstadt, a short walk from Frauenkirche, Neumarkt, Zwinger, Brühlsche Terrasse, the Elbe, the trams, and shopping to the south. If the steps might be an issue for you, ask about room access.

The city-center location is great. But when I arrived at 15:00, my room wasn't ready. There was no wifi, the air conditioning didn't cool, and both the bar and restaurant were closed. The corridors had no lights because of computer problems.
