Northapartments Dresden Am Park

The rooms are new and clean, and I’ve stayed here twice when there were good discounts. This time, though, every window faced the road, so it was very noisy and opening one wasn’t really an option. One window also had no curtain, which is a problem if you can’t sleep with bright light coming in.

I booked for an 18-day stay because NorthApartments said they could provide an invoice, which I needed for work. I wouldn’t have made the reservation if they’d been upfront that they couldn’t issue one. On the first day I emailed to request it, then followed up three more times with no reply. Calling didn’t help either: the answering machine sent me to a guest app I’d never been given access to. Once check-in was done, they stopped answering my emails. I felt completely scammed by the promise they’d made before I booked. I can’t recommend this place at all, especially if you need an invoice. The team was incredibly unprofessional, and they didn’t care when I had a request.

The rooms have always been clean and perfectly adequate on the three times I’ve stayed. But there are several prostitutes in the hotel, and during my last visit one was next door, arguing loudly with her clients. I guess the owners only care that the rooms are occupied. I’ll look for somewhere quieter next time.

The location is fantastic, but the price feels like a rip-off for what you get. The furnishings are as bare as barracks, and traveling as a couple meant sleeping in a 1.40m-wide IKEA bed. These are hostel-like conditions at hotel prices, about as cheap as it gets.
