NOVALIS Hotel Dresden by AURUM

For parking, they have spaces around the hotel, but some are narrow and the ones out front are so short that newer cars barely fit. Breakfast is okay if you get there while things are still available. We went about 30 minutes before it ended and much of the food wasn’t being replenished, so there were no sausages, and coffee costs extra. Check-in was quick and easy even though we arrived around 2am, and checkout went smoothly. It’s fine for one night on the way somewhere else, and that’s about the best I can say.

The rooms felt modern and were lovely and clean, and all the staff were lovely. A special mention to whoever made our packed lunches when we had to miss breakfast and leave in the early hours. Without a car, the hotel is a little out of the way from Dresden’s center, but a 20-30 minute tram or bus ride there and back is manageable for most people.

The breakfast had a great range of food and drinks, and the rooms were spacious with quality service. We were after somewhere reasonably priced for one night while visiting Dresden, and this hotel was just right for us. It’s a little remote from the city center, but public transport gets you everywhere. We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back.

Breakfast was amazing, and the room was exceptionally clean. Ours looked quite different from the promotional photos, though. Parking costs €5 a day, and we didn’t need to pay for it. Still, it was a good choice at a reasonable price, and I’d recommend the place.
