Self check in went really smoothly, and the location is good. The accommodation was clean and fairly priced, including the snacks and drinks for sale. The flat looks like it was renovated recently, which can't have been easy in such a venerable house. It's generally well done, though some of the furnishings feel unnecessarily modern and impersonal.

The guesthouse sits right at the start of Duderstadt's old town, with its lovely half-timbered buildings. Restaurants, cafés, and shops are just a few minutes away on foot. We will definitely return to stay at the town house. Our room was excellent, with a garden view and balcony in a cozy old half-timbered house. It was very clean and had a great bed. The stairs up to it are rather steep, but the owner had told us beforehand. The woman who greeted us was attentive and gave us useful details about parking and how to find the place if we had trouble. Guests can keep their bikes under a covered shelter in the garden. The price was excellent too, 100% value for money. For a day trip, the Rhumequelle spring really does glow blue. It's about 16 km away, with free entry, parking, and nice walking paths.

The room faced the garden and was small, but furnished just right and very quiet. It was excellent value for money, and the town center is a short walk away. There's good storage for bicycles.
