Hotel Appartement Landhaus Stutzi - Hotel Strandperle

We were cycling the Elbe Cycle Path and booked at very short notice. The location is fantastic and central, with the beach just a few steps away. The building belongs to the neighboring Hotel Strandperle, and I assume guests who book breakfast eat there. There’s a pool and sauna downstairs in the basement. Our room was spacious, with a kitchenette, sitting area and bathroom, so we had plenty of room to spread out. It was a bit dated, but clean overall, which is what matters. We could leave our bikes in the Hotel Strandperle parking garage. Excellent value for money. For once, I forgot to take photos.

Having the pool and sauna to ourselves for all four days was the highlight of our stay. We were there from April 15th to 18th at Landhaus Stutzi, and our room was really comfortable, with a spacious bathroom and a lovely balcony. Breakfast in the main building was very good, and the service was excellent. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you!

The apartments are lovely, spotlessly clean, and less than a minute from the beach. The staff are friendly and professional, the breakfast is excellent, and the basement pool is a good size. We had no complaints. The only thing keeping this from a full five stars is that the hotel and Haus Stutzi could use a complete renovation. Highly recommended.

We left early, and neither the hotel nor Expedia offered any compensation or concessions. The hotel also rejected our request through Expedia for a price reduction. We’re considering further legal steps, such as reporting what happened to the health authorities. The accommodation itself was cozy and very rustic, just as the pictures showed. But on the first morning, we opened the windows to air out the room and found mold all around the windows in both the living room and main bedroom. We told reception right away. A maintenance worker tried to treat it with mold remover, with little success, and later a cleaner had another go, also with limited results. We asked to move to a different room, but that request was ignored. Instead, they insisted that it wasn’t mold and that the window seals were only “discoloring.” The photos clearly show otherwise. Since mold is a serious health risk, especially for someone with asthma, we moved to a different bedroom in the same accommodation.
