Hotel Pöttjerkrug

The prices felt fair, and the friendly, attentive service helped make the evening even nicer. We were served promptly and politely, even with the restaurant busy. At Pöttcherkrug in Duingen, the traditional, cozy atmosphere made it easy to feel comfortable and relax. The food was freshly made and came out quickly. Everything tasted delicious, the portions were generous, and the chef clearly knows the job. A lovely visit last night. I’d happily come back and recommend Pöttcherkrug in Duingen.

That beer was a real rescue after walking 26 kilometers that day! We also remember the delicious food and excellent service fondly. On the second-to-last day of our Ith-Hils hike, we arrived at Hotel "Pöttjerkrug" pretty worn out, and were met with such lovely hospitality and helpfulness. Thank you to everyone. The restroom had cables sticking out of the wall, which wasn't a nice thing to see. The whole visit was disappointing. We were the only guests when we ate there a few days ago, but even with a reservation, the seating count was wrong and we had to wait while they set up another table. The waiter seemed overwhelmed. More than an hour passed and the starters still hadn't come. When they did, they were only so-so, and some were not what we ordered. The main courses took a long time too, despite the restaurant being empty. Once they finally arrived, the food was cold to lukewarm. The waiter apologized more than once, but unfortunately the mood was already spoiled.
