Campanile Duisburg City

The rooms were basic and a little small, with carpeted floors I didn’t care for, but they were clean and had a comfortable double bed. The small bathroom was spotless throughout, and breakfast was included, with a decent mix of sweet and savory food to start the day. I stayed three nights at the Campanile Hotel in Duisburg for a fair in Düsseldorf. My company booked rooms for me and my colleagues. Check-in was quick and the staff were friendly. There’s no hotel parking, but a lot about 15 meters from the entrance is available for €15 a day. Overall, it was a practical, convenient place for a business trip.

I was in town on business and spent seven nights at Campanile Duisburg. The stay was positive overall, and my room was spacious with a nice river view. Cleaning was okay, though more than once the room wasn’t made up in the morning. Breakfast was pretty good, with both savory and sweet choices. The hotel is within walking distance of Duisburg train station and the city center.

I left my keys in the room, and the hotel mailed them to my home in Hamburg as a package, free of charge. That really made the stay memorable. The whole team was welcoming and friendly, from the front desk and housekeeping to the breakfast area staff. I stayed for two nights. The location is very central, and the room was perfectly clean. The hotel is nice and clean, and the food at breakfast was good. But the WiFi failed about 90% of the time, so don’t count on it. Breakfast came in half-plates, and the cups were tiny, about shot-glass size.
