Jugendherberge Duisburg Sportpark Hostel

The room was spacious and clean, and the beds were good. Breakfast was OK, but the shower room had a musty smell. We really missed having a cozy living room, and it’s a shame you can’t cook for yourself, or even make coffee or tea. There also isn’t a free football field.

The location is in a quiet neighborhood, with a sports stadium right across the street. It’s about four kilometers from the railway station, and you can get there by bus or taxi. I stayed in a four-bed dorm, and the beds, washroom, and toilets were very thoughtfully designed. The staff were extremely helpful. It’s a bit overpriced, but in Duisburg this is the best option. Definitely one of the best hostels I’ve stayed in.

The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable, but the food has become really bad since our last visit. For a place that calls itself a Sports Hostel, the food isn’t healthy at all. It seems like they changed the cook. I’ve been coming here with different groups for years, since it opened, but next time we’ll look for somewhere else.

The bed was comfy, the staff friendly, and the food good. There’s a sauna and plenty of sports facilities, including volleyball, football, and table tennis. Some rooms are available for events, and most areas are wheelchair accessible. It works well for one night or a longer holiday.
