Hotel Palm Premium

The free water fountain for guests was a nice touch, and the rooms had plenty of storage, reliable internet, and a well-equipped kitchenette with a sink, kettle, toaster, fridge, and microwave. The bathroom also had a hairdryer. The rooms were very clean and as expected for this class of hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful, and replied to messages promptly. Parking can be a headache. The hotel lot was full during our stay, and the nearest alternative, Parkhaus Charlottenstraße, stayed full until late at night. Weekend parking wasn’t easy or stress-free, so plan ahead if you’re driving. Otherwise, it’s a solid choice.

We were in town for a few nights to see the Christmas markets. It was a 10-15 minute walk to the markets and main shopping area, and only a few minutes from the main station. The hotel was easy to find. Staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean, and the bed was reasonably comfortable. It looked a little dated but was fine for a short stay. We asked for extra pillows and got them. The main entrance is locked at night, but you can get in using the panel on the left. We didn’t eat there, so can’t comment on breakfast.

The kitchenette was handy and the TV was a good size. We brought our own Google Chromecast. Breakfast was good too, with crunchy bread, salmon, feta, and watermelon, some of my favorites. The staff were friendly, especially Mohammed, and getting an extra blanket was no problem. I was also glad the air conditioning was running, since a lot of hotels turn it off in October.

The rooms were lovely and clean, and the television was nice too. The woman at the front desk was caring and helpful throughout check-in. I’d definitely recommend the place and come back.
