I wouldn't stay here again. It can take at least 20 minutes for the water to get warm enough to shower, and the windows have no fly screens. Some of them look straight onto another house. The narrow hallway is also very hard for my older children to climb, though that's part of the otherwise beautiful half-timbered architecture.

The old half-timbered house is beautiful, but the problems started as soon as we went upstairs and smelled smoke. Inside, it was obvious that someone had been smoking, despite the listing calling this a non-smoking apartment. The smell was so strong that we couldn't sleep in one of the bedrooms. The electrical outlets are another serious issue: some hang out of the walls and aren't installed properly, which felt like a nightmare with children. The two official entrance doors, one to the house and one to the apartment, were both very hard to close and needed force. Several interior doors were badly fitted too, and either difficult to shut or unable to close all the way. There has been a lot of shoddy work here. I was disappointed and angry, and wouldn't rent this apartment again. If a smoky place with poorly installed outlets is what you're after, this is it.

Never again. The bathtub and sink still had hair from the previous tenant, and the tablecloth was cut up. The apartment was terribly equipped for cooking: no hangers in the closet, cutting board, cooking spoon, or anything much for self-catering. The electrical system was disastrous. Some windows looked into a gap only about a meter wide between buildings, where pigeons lived and pecked at the panes. Horrible.

The bedrooms were pretty well equipped, four out of five, and the living room was great, six out of five stars 👍. The kitchen has enough equipment, though there's no microwave. The water heater seems to do its own thing, and we had no hot water at all for one day.
