The cozy, charming decor and friendly, accommodating staff made a nice impression. We stopped for dinner after a wonderful day hiking around castle ruins, and had excellent sauerbraten and baked catfish. Highly recommend.

I’ve never had a Schnitzel this delicious in my life. It was absolutely awesome. The restaurant is great, with a nice selection of traditional food that changes with the seasons. For me, this has to be the best place in the whole area.

The manager, George, was caring and helpful, and made things easy for us as Americans who speak very little German. My wife and I stayed four days while visiting Frankenjura and Bamberg, and absolutely loved it. It’s a cozy place to stay with yummy food, and definitely somewhere to stay when you’re in town.

I was there last week and thought this was the best hotel in the heart of Bayern. It was really comfortable, with delicious food, and as a food lover I especially liked the breakfast. The staff were very friendly. Cleanliness and facilities get 5 out of 5 from me.
