I ate at the restaurant and really liked the atmosphere. The food was excellent.

The one small drawback was that none of the people I spoke with spoke English. Maybe I should have learned some German, and we managed with gestures and pointing 😊. Everything else made for a lovely stay with my 9yr old Grandson: clean rooms, comfortable beds and an excellent Continental breakfast. There’s a bus stop right outside for town, and the train station is just down the road for trips to Berlin. It’s a lovely little hotel, and I’ll definitely come back next time I visit my relatives.

The Schnitzelei section of the menu is a dream come true. This is a small, unpretentious restaurant serving honest regional food, with just the right balance of portion size, price and quality. The drinks and service are above the regional standard too.

Breakfast was good, though it’s served in the adjacent restaurant. The WiFi got unstable and very slow in the afternoons and evenings, once guests started coming back. Probably one of the better hotels in Eberswalde, but still quite disappointing.
