Hotel Panorama

The owner was a pleasure to deal with, and every member of the hotel staff was so pleasant. I stayed for 8 days; the rooms were nice and very quiet. I'd definitely come back when I'm in the area.

The breakfast is good, the service is friendly, and the pub feels authentic. Still, why do they keep turning the heating down?

The bar and beers are great, and the staff are friendly. The rooms are clean and tidy, and it's an easy walk into town. Check the reception hours if you're arriving late, and call ahead to arrange a late check-in before you travel.

For a stay in the small city of Einbeck, the hotel has what you need to be comfortable and entertained. There's a bowling alley next to an old-style bar serving Einbecker beer, which is a must-try, plus three squash rooms and a fitness room. The place is old-fashioned rather than top-modern, but the family feeling and coziness are what I remember most. For example, the kitchen closes at 2200, already late by Einbeck standards. I asked whether they could leave food for me so I could eat after arriving beyond 2400. The staff agreed and stayed waiting especially for me. That kind of hospitality is hard to find these days, and it made me feel appreciated. It also made me appreciate Hotel Panorama even more.
