The view toward Wartburg castle was overwhelming, and sitting on the terrace in bright sunshine made for a perfect visit. We went to the restaurant again yesterday, on May 20, 2020, for the first time since the first? Corona shutdown. The food was excellent, as it usually is here. I had escalope with asparagus, and the quality was brilliant. Service was okay. Before the Corona shutdown, a week earlier, the food was excellent but the service was pretty mediocre and not very friendly. Our room was overheated, and although it was nearly empty, we were offered a small table that felt really dangerous.

Prices are in the medium to high range. The food is very tasty, and the view of Wartburg castle and Burschenschaft monument is amazing. On sunny days, it’s especially nice to sit outside on the terrace.

If you’re looking for peace and quiet, this place in the woods is a great fit, right by a monument with a clear view of the big Eisenach Castle. Party-seekers probably won’t find it right for them ;)

We came for a wedding, and the food and service were excellent. The setting is amazing, the Wi-Fi coverage is very good, and the rooms, while not oversized, are comfortable and very clean.

We paid 42€ per person for starters, a main dish, something sweet, and 2 bottles of vin. The dishes were very good and well prepared, and the service was prompt and fast.
