Waldhotel Eisenberg

I came for dinner during a BMW GS meeting, and there were plenty of other motorcyclists there too. They put on a buffet for the riders, with lots of choices at both the salad bar and for the main course, so there was something for different tastes. It was great, and the price felt reasonable for what we got.

The staff were so welcoming and attentive, and both the food and service were excellent. I was there on a business trip, but I’d recommend staying here for leisure too. My only small gripe was that there wasn’t complimentary bottled water in the room.

The restaurant took an hour to serve me, and then brought the wrong dish. Since it was late, I kept it. I also handed in laundry in the morning, but by evening it had just been left back in my room, still dirty and with no explanation. A couple of days later I got a message saying I owed 12 Euro for the laundry, and when I called to ask about it, they hung up on me. I was staying at waldHotel for work. The receptionist seemed nice, but didn’t smile or tell me much about the hotel, such as how to use the internet. My room was dark, the bed squeaked when I lay down, and even the nicest part, the bathroom, was dusty. Checking out in the morning was another problem. They couldn’t do it right away, and I had to wait while they sat there.

I've stayed here 4-5 times and would recommend it. The rooms are large and clean, with comfortable beds and a mini-bar, and the hotel is quiet. Parking is free, the staff are helpful, and the restaurant serves nice standard German food, though it can take a while to come. The internet is very bad.
