Zwischen Erfurt, Weimar & Thüringer Wald

We'd happily stay here again. On our second visit, the apartment worked just as well for getting things done as it did for unwinding. We travel often and have stayed in all sorts of places, so the hosts' generous extras stood out. They were attentive while still giving us plenty of privacy. We also don't share the complaints about the mattress, the furnishings and materials are very high quality. We'd recommend the place.

The apartment's comfort deserves an extra star. We couldn't find anything missing, and if you think you need something, it may just be tucked away somewhere. We've stayed in plenty of holiday apartments, but none were furnished to this level. The Weth family's place was also in a great spot, quiet, and run by very friendly hosts. We booked it for a week in Thuringia to round out our time in Germany, and we're glad we did.

We're planning another stay after spending a week in the Weth couple's holiday apartment a year ago. I looked at the Google page to check whether the offer had changed and was surprised by a 2 star rating we couldn't make sense of. The apartment is huge, with a big seating area, Dolby Surround system, large screen TV, spacious kitchenette, and a bedroom and bathroom good enough for a long stay. The beds, bathroom, and technical equipment were in good to very good condition. We felt comfortable and were welcomed warmly and personally. There were lots of flyers, videos with excursion tips, and regional information. I suspect some communication misunderstanding may have led to that poor rating. We'll book again.

The owners were warm and accommodating, and the apartment had useful regional information about Thuringia. We enjoyed the area enough to want to come back, and we'd stay in this same vacation apartment again. It felt like home from the start. Everything was spotless, towels and linens were immaculate, and the mattresses and sofa seemed nearly new. Even the basics like coffee filters and toilet paper were provided.
