The garden behind the hotel was my favorite part. It was full of greenery and flowers, very well cared for, and so peaceful. I could relax there with a coffee or just enjoy some quiet. The hotel is also an easy walk from the town center, though it feels like a calm retreat. My room was spotless and comfortable, and the modern bathroom was clean, stylish, and well equipped. Breakfast had a delicious range of fresh, high quality choices, a great way to start the day. The staff were friendly and helpful from the moment I arrived, always ready to assist with a smile. There's clearly a lot of care in the details, and the hotel has a special charm. I'll stay here again next time I'm in Elmshorn, highly recommended!

We were welcomed with a bottle of cold water, which was a nice touch, but the room was absolutely terrible. It had dirty corners, a spider on the ceiling, and the beds and blankets smelled odd. The bathroom fixtures were good and the sink drained well, but we didn't shower because the shower fitting that keeps water from coming out was extremely dirty. The bathroom corners were especially dirty. The place looks like a retirement home. We skipped breakfast and went to a Lidl in town for croissants instead. The hotel didn't meet my expectations, so this feels like a fair rating.

This was a budget hotel, just as we'd expected when booking for an overnight stop during a longer trip. The rooms were clean but basic. The breakfast buffet had a reasonable amount to choose from, though it cost nearly €10 per person, including each of my three children aged 10 to 14. There wasn't much information about local restaurants, so we set off for a walk with Google in hand. Apart from the man at reception, we didn't see other staff until breakfast the next morning.

We stopped here in late December on our way to Denmark. The room and bathroom were a good size, and everything was clean. Breakfast was good, as you'd expect in Germany. It was an easy walk to the center, with a selection of bars and restaurants. I'd happily stay again if passing through.

We were cycling the Elberadweg and were glad to stay at Drei Kronen-hotel. The room was nice, breakfast was great, and we got a friendly welcome. The price and quality were a good match. What more could you ask for? Jos and Ine, Netherlands.
