The spacious grounds were probably the best part of the place. The rest may come down to personal taste, but I wasn’t happy with the food. Lunch was only a casserole, and dinner felt bare, with cheese, salad, tomato, and mozzarella. In my opinion, the selection was ridiculous, and I would have liked more dishes. I also couldn’t lock my room, which bothered me because I was sharing the house with colleagues. Apparently there are no keys. Saying keys can be bought at any hardware store seems like a strange excuse. There were also steep extra charges, such as €10 to use the second bed in the room.

Our three-day company event at Engelshof was looked after from the moment we arrived until we left, thanks to both owner families. Birgit, one of the co-owners, was especially caring, with a real family feel to it. There were thoughtful touches everywhere: welcome ice cream, water pistols, and a snack and drinks vending machine that was really well stocked and kept topped up. We didn’t feel we were missing anything. It’s a lovely, peaceful setting for events, birthdays, or conferences, with room to enjoy both work and free time. The one thing I’d suggest is adding small fans to the rooms for very warm days. A special retreat for a work trip or a getaway. You feel part of the Engelshof family.

The monastery garden was beautifully kept and lovely for a walk outdoors. We could really unwind and recharge there, and the facilities were excellent. We were welcomed so warmly, and the whole atmosphere felt friendly and inviting. It made for a wonderful, relaxing weekend. We’d love to return.

Our three-day workshop at Engelshof brought 22 of us to a truly magical place. The farm has loads of space for small and large groups, and the homemade organic food was absolutely delicious. Service was warm and attentive throughout. Tanja, Birgit, Anja, and Ralf did everything they could to make our stay just right. I’m sure this place will become well known before long.

Dear Tanja, dear Birgit, dear Ralf, dear Anna! We had such a lovely time with you and at your place. We had 23 participants and 3 trainers, and there was plenty of room for all of us, inside and outside. The training rooms were wonderful, and so was the space for smaller groups, including in the beautiful garden. Everything was ready and worked just as we’d agreed beforehand. The healthy, delicious food made us happy, and the poppy seed cake! We loved the relaxed, easygoing atmosphere and all the lovely little touches for the senses. And that welcome in 38-degree heat, with cold drinks and a paddling pool to cool our feet, was brilliant. A big thank you for such a pleasant, professional, and warm collaboration.
