They advertise the trout as fresh, and they really mean it: they walked across the street, caught one, and came back to cook it! The food and service were amazing, and the staff were sweet. We spent one night in the hills of the Black Forest at this bed and breakfast hotel, and it was absolutely amazing. I'd stay here again if we're back, and recommend this quiet, family-owned place to anyone wanting an escape from the city bustle.

We stopped for dinner on our way from Triberg, a group of seven, and the staff seated and helped us kindly and diligently. The food and service were amazing. We didn't expect our best dinner of a short trip in Germany to be in this small village. Highly recommended.

We got to check in at 1 pm and could keep our bicycles safely in the garage. This family-run hotel was one of the best places we stayed in the Black Forest, with very friendly people. The rooms are clean and cozy, with balcony access and wonderful mountain views. Breakfast was excellent, and they made scrambled eggs to order with Black Forest ham. Free internet, parking beside the building, and a kids' playground on the side. The town is an easy walk away.
