The staff were friendly, and pets of any size are very welcome. My room was clean, and the restaurant's meat was a real treat. I left a day early after being warned that my cat had separation anxiety. With riots happening all over France the day before I was due to leave, I was terrified when I set off. I should have asked to stay another week instead. You never know what life has in store, so it's better to give yourself every chance to extend your stay. Next time I'll bring my cat. I'm belatedly sorry to the owner and staff for the inconvenience. You were all great.

The staff were excellent, helpful, and friendly. The food was very good and reasonably priced, and the place is cozy in a beautiful location. It was also dog friendly, which matters to me. My room was basic but comfortable, and I'd gladly come back.

I slept well, though the rooms could use a little renovation. The staff are helpful if you run into trouble, and there's a large parking lot where you can always find a space. The cuisine is excellent, especially the freshwater fish.

It's a traditional farmhouse hotel, simple rather than fancy, but it has the basics for a comfortable night. Breakfast is available, and there's a restaurant for dinner plus an outdoor beer garden.

The fish restaurant is really tasty, and the hotel itself is quiet and small, with a vintage feel. Rooms are huge for the low price in Emden. Breakfast was okay. The big downside is connectivity: there’s no guest Wi-Fi hotspot, and mobile reception is really poor.
