The hotel has some intriguing art, and getting there is easy since the train station is only a short walk away. Our room was comfortable and practical, with what we needed for a brief business trip, and breakfast was served each day. We let the staff know in advance that we’d arrive late. They arranged access for us, so checking in went smoothly. Everyone we met was lovely and welcoming.

It’s about an 8-10 minute walk from the railway station, with a direct connection to and from Freiburg main railway station. My room was clean, cozy, and roomy enough for one person. There were power sockets on both sides of the bed, the Wi-Fi worked well overall, and the WC was clean.

The rooms look nice and modern. From one facing the street, though, you’ll hear the nearby trains, including ICE and transport trains, as well as cars and people outside. The back-facing rooms probably get noise from the water wheel. I didn’t try breakfast.
