We had a great base for a car-free holiday here. Emmendingen has lots of options for walking, cycling, running, and swimming, and public transport connects the town well with the wider Schwarzwald area. We made easy trips to Freiburg, Schauinsland, Triberg, and Titisee. It was so hot during our stay that we didn’t explore further, but there’s still plenty we’d like to see, so we hope to return. Zweirad Dages in Emmendingen had quality bikes for hire at very reasonable prices. The apartment itself was extremely spacious, comfortable, and well equipped. It and the terrace stayed cool throughout the day, which we really appreciated with temperatures around 30 degrees most days. The outside space was just as nice, and our hosts, Richard and Birgitta, were welcoming and helpful. The garden games, including table tennis, kept our two teens entertained during our wonderful two-week stay.

We came from northern Germany for a week to visit my husband’s hometown and spend time with family and friends. We’re so glad we found this welcoming, comfortable apartment close to them, and would love to stay here again. The place reflects its owners: spacious, clean, well maintained, lovingly furnished, and superbly equipped. There’s attention to detail both indoors and outside, and nothing was missing. If we had needed anything, the owners would have been happy to help. Thank you for such an unforgettable stay. See you soon! ☺️

The owners are friendly and attentive, and we felt at home right away. The apartment is lovely, thoughtfully furnished, very clean, and has everything you need. It sits by the Elz River on a quiet side street, while still being very central. Emmendingen, Freiburg, Europa-Park, the Black Forest, and Alsace are all easy to reach, and Switzerland is nearby too thanks to the tri-border area. We’ll definitely be back!

We found the apartment wonderful for accommodating relatives visiting Emmendingen for a family celebration. It’s spacious, spotlessly clean, and beautifully furnished. The large covered terrace, surrounded by greenery, is a dream, especially for relaxing on warm evenings. The landlord lives in the same building and was very friendly. We’d happily book it again, and highly recommend it. It’s a shame we don’t have more out-of-town guests to host here.
