Hotel-restaurant Wanders

Theo Wanders and his staff were so friendly and helpful, and the multilingual team means you don't need to speak German to stay here. I enjoyed my time in Elten and will return. The restaurant serves well-cooked food in generous portions, and smaller portions are available for lighter appetites. My room was serviced to an unusually high standard each day, with real attention to detail. This family-run independent hotel is right in the heart of Elten, with nicely appointed rooms and characterful public areas that have been beautifully decorated.

There's free parking behind the hotel, and breakfast comes with the B&B price. Although it's in central Elten, the village is peaceful in the evenings and overnight, so we slept well. My husband and I have stayed here overnight and eaten in the restaurant several times over the past few years. The accommodation is clean, warm, and comfortable; the food is good quality and well priced. The owner runs the hotel very well, and the staff are efficient and helpful. They speak several languages, which makes booking by phone easy. We're happy to recommend it.

The terrace was lovely, with great service and a good range of ice cream 😍. We had a comfortable room and a nice German breakfast, and the service was great throughout. It's a friendly, comfortable hotel in central Elten, close to the Borghees golfcourse. The same family has run it for generations, and staying there was a real pleasure.

The rooms were nice and the beds were good, though the rooms felt a little old-fashioned. Breakfast was okay, but they didn't have biscuits. Dinner was delicious, with almost too many plates to fit on the table.
